COREtec Flooring in Fairfax · Floors and Beyond

If you've been researching waterproof luxury vinyl, you've almost certainly come across COREtec - and wondered where to actually buy it. This guide from Floors and Beyond VA explains who makes COREtec, who sells it, and how Fairfax, Virginia homeowners can get it (or a comparable product) expertly installed.

Who Makes COREtec Flooring?

COREtec is a flooring brand owned by Shaw Industries, one of the largest flooring manufacturers in the world. COREtec is widely credited with inventing WPC (wood-plastic composite) waterproof vinyl flooring, and the brand now spans a broad line of rigid-core luxury vinyl in wood and stone looks. Because it's a Shaw brand, COREtec is a genuine name-brand product line, not a store's private label.

Who Sells COREtec Flooring?

COREtec is distributed primarily through authorized independent flooring dealers and specialty flooring retailers. Unlike a private-label brand that lives at a single chain, COREtec is carried by a network of flooring stores and contractors. That means the best way to buy COREtec is usually through a local flooring professional who can show you samples, confirm current product availability, and - crucially - install it correctly. Always verify present-day brand and collection availability with the seller, since manufacturers update their lines over time.

What Makes COREtec Popular

COREtec's appeal comes from its rigid, waterproof core, which resists dents and stays dimensionally stable through temperature swings, plus an attached cork or foam underlayment on many products for comfort and sound. For Fairfax homes with basements over concrete slabs, kitchens, and busy family areas, waterproof rigid-core vinyl like COREtec is one of the smartest flooring choices available - which is exactly why so many Northern Virginia homeowners ask about it.

Buying and Installing COREtec in Fairfax, Virginia

Here's what many homeowners don't realize: buying the flooring is only half the equation. Even the best rigid-core vinyl fails if the subfloor isn't properly prepared, the moisture from a Fairfax basement slab isn't controlled, or the expansion gaps aren't right. That's where a local, experienced installer matters more than the store you buy from. Whether you've already chosen COREtec or want help comparing it against other premium waterproof vinyl options, Floors and Beyond VA can source and professionally install rigid-core luxury vinyl for your Fairfax home. Floors and Beyond VA serves Fairfax City, Fair Oaks, Fair Lakes, Oakton, Vienna, Burke, Centreville, and the surrounding Fairfax County communities, along with Loudoun, Prince William, and Arlington.
